Mitchell’s Garage in Bayhead, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis was owned and operated by Iain Mitchell. The garage was a Vauxhall approved garage. It bought new cars to sell on the island and second hand cars which it also sold. They had a breakdown recovery service and repaired damaged cars too.
The company was taken over by Iain Mitchell’s son, also Iain, after his death and operated in the island until he retired in 1995 and ceased trading.
